Join Arbor Family Counseling, a Trivium Life Services Company for a Continuing Education Event to earn continuing education credits and enhance your professional skills!

You must register to take part in this event. Everyone who takes part in the course will recieve a certificate of completion.

The event will take place in Trivium's Center of Excellence. Coffee and Lunch will be provided by The Terrace.

In-Person Attendance Registration Fee: $40 (includes: light breakfast , coffee and lunch (sandwhich, chips, and beverages).

Virtual Attendance Registration Fee: $20


Training Topic 1:  Rapport, Strengths and Validations:  A Healing Presence in Therapy - 1.5 CEU's
Objectives:
  • Examine Research Support of Rapport Factors Impacting Therapeutic Outcomes.

  • Employ Strength Based Strategies to Enhance Validation, Redirection and Change.

  • Apply Case Examples to Illustrate Principles

  • Implement the "Validation Sandwich" to Assist Rapport and Progress.

Training Topic 2.  Bipolar Disorder - 1.5 CEU's
Objectives:
  • Review Signs, Symptoms and Presentations of Bipolar Spectrum Conditions.

  • Utilize Understanding of the Inner Experience of Those Effected by Bipolar Disorders.

  • Differentiate the Condition from the Client's Identity and Core Values.

  • Apply Psychological Therapies to a Neuropsychiatric Disorder.

Breakfast and coffee available 8:AM to 8:45 AM, coffee also available during breaks.

Lunch at 11:30 AM

Presenter: H. John Lehnhoff, Ph.D.

Dr. Lehnhoff has practiced Clinical Psychology since receiving his doctorate from the University of Nebraska’s Clinical Psychology Phd Program in Lincoln. He served as the director of a community mental health center office, engaged in private practice, and was Clinical Director and Clinical Consultant at Omaha’s Richard Young Center (now Lasting Hope Hospital) for 16 years.

Dr. Lehnhoff taught as adjunct faculty in the Clinical Psychology and Counseling Psychology doctoral programs at UNL, and was an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at Creighton University Medical School. He has provided many professional and community education trainings on numerous clinical topics. Dr. Lehnhoff has worked with all ages of clients, and supervised many practitioners and treatment teams during his years as Clinical Director. From 2003-2020 he was the Clinical Psychologist Consultant for CHI Health Behavioral Services in Nebraska and Iowa. Dr Lehnhoff’s current practice emphasizes individual therapies for adults seeking help for depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, or low self-esteem.
